Our Leadership...
Our congregation is led by elders who are appointed according to the standard given in the New Testament (1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, Phil 1:1).
Our current Elders are John Dean, Jim Dempster, Tom Montgomery, and David Willbanks. We also have a number of deacons who serve the church in various ministries (1 Tim 3:8-13), along with our preacher, Blaine Kelley.
Who Are We?
The Morristown Church of Christ is an independent congregation of believers serving Christ in truth and love. In a world filled with religious confusion, we strive to practice simple New Testament Christianity. The Bible is our guide for all that we teach and practice (2 Tim 3:16-17).
We are a growing church striving to serve God in all we do. As members of the Lord's church, we strive to put into practice Jesus' command to demonstrate His love through our love for one another (John 13:35) and through our service to those around us (Mat 25:40). We are involved in a number of ministries ranging from making pillows to be given out at our local hospital, to our prayer group which meets to pray over the needs of the sick, to our food and clothing ministries, as well as many others. We also send out a bi-monthly christian newsletter, House to House/Heart to Heart, which is sent out to over 5000 homes in Morristown.

What We Believe:
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that he must be obeyed. We learn of His will for our lives through the Bible, God's inspired, written word. We are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 5:8), and that salvation is available to us because of the shed blood of our Savior Jesus Christ.
One becomes a christian by believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Acts 2:37; 8:12; 8:37), repenting of past sins (Acts 2:38; 11:18), confessing faith in Christ (Acts 2:38; 8:37; 9:5), and being baptized into Christ (Acts 2:38,41; 8:12; 16:33; 22:16). Through this experience of being ''born again'', God adds us to His church (Acts 2:47). It begins the life-long journey of ''walking in the light'' of fellowship with Christ and our brothers and sisters in Christ (1 John 1:7).
