Well, the first class of our study of Galatians is in the books and you will find a summary of the class attached to this email. Whether you were present for the class or not, I hope you take some time to read the summary. Paul is concerned that the gospel, or God's good news, is being distorted, and Gal. 1:1-9 serves as a stark reminder that our "rescue or deliverance from this present evil age" ultimately resides in and with God, not ourselves. We would never be so bold as to teach or believe that we can earn our salvation; and yet, while we speak of the gospel, grace, and peace with God, our lives can often betray our words. Paul has just begun to remind the Galatians of what God has done through the gospel, and we will continue to explore what I hope we will all find to be truly good news in our second class. The title of Lesson 2 is based on a phrase taken from Psalm 118:23.
This Is The Lord's Doing; and It is Marvelous in Paul's Eyes. How About In Ours? (Read Gal. 1:10-24)
