God has a vision for your life, and God has a vision for His church. The New Testament reveals four main areas of focus for the Lord's church, all of which flow from Christ's command to love (Matthew 22:27-29). At Morristown Church of Christ, we summarize these areas of focus in the following ways:

Worship: Love God
When Jesus was on earth, he spent time in both private communion with the Father and public worship with his fellow Jews. He also announced a new day of worship was coming in which "true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him" (John 4:23). At Morristown we strive to fulfill God's desire for this kind of worship with our lips and our hearts (Colossians 3:16-17; Hebrews 13:15).

Fellowship: Love Others
In Ephesians 4:16, the Apostle Paul speaks of the church as a body that is "joined and held together by every joint." Fulfilling such a vision for the church requires developing real relationships with one another and being "knit together in love" (Col. 2:2).
At Morristown, we strive to honestly share the painful and pleasant experiences of life with one another by providing numerous opportunities for genuine relationship-building.

Outreach: Love the World
While we love one another at Morristown Church of Christ, we also realize that there is a greater mission beyond us. Jesus told us that the evaluation of our souls will largely be determined by how well we serve those in need (Matt. 25:31-46). He then left his disciples with the command to "go into all the world" (Mark 16:15). We strive to fulfill his mission by sharing the gospel locally & globally and through various outreach ministries to the local community.

Discipleship: Love Our Families
1 Peter 2:21 says, "For to this you have been called . . . so that you might follow in [Christ's] steps." Being a disciple means more than simply proclaiming Jesus as Lord. It also requires our imitation of him. As a spiritual family, we strive to individually imitate Christ while helping each other do the same (1 Corinthians 11:1). At the same time, we especially encourage our physical families to make Christ the focal point of our homes. Through practical preaching and Bible classes for various ages and interests, we make it our aim to help one another live out Christ-likeness on a daily basis.
